3D point cloud

The first step in processing aerial imagery, LiDAR scans, or echo sounder data is the creation of a 3D point cloud. We typically perform the following steps:

– Quality check of your raw data
– Creation / generation of the point cloud
– Cleaning the point cloud (e.g., outliers, noise, artifacts)
– Georeferencing using ground control points and/or onboard RTK or PPK
– Optional: point cloud classification (see note 1)

We deliver the final 3D point cloud in suitable file formats and point densities, aligned with your intended use.

Possible file formats (selection):
– .las / .laz
– .e57
– .txt
– .cl3
– .pts
and additional formats on request

Note 1: Classification is usually required if a Digital Terrain Model (DTM/DGM) is to be derived.
